The National Accountability Bureau is an independent and autonomous agency of the federal government that actively fights and strives to combat corruption and all economic disparities. The National Accountability Bureau was established in 1999 by former President and Army Chief Pervez Musharraf as Ehtesab Cell, and since then it has expanded and grown. The office operates in Islamabad with four regional offices in four provinces.
